MG II troubleshooting guide

What should I do if my MG II will not charge?

Only charge MG II when its Type-C port is clean and completely dry. Try a known-good Type-C cable, a standard 5V/1A or 5V/2A USB adapter and another wall outlet, then leave it charging for at least 30 minutes.

Short answer

MG II uses its Type-C charging port. The official manual lists a 5V/1A or 5V/2A charging input. First make sure the charging port is clean and completely dry, then test a known-good Type-C cable, standard 5V USB power adapter and wall outlet. Leave the speaker charging for at least 30 minutes before checking whether a charging indicator appears.

Check MG II safely, step by step

  1. Stop if MG II is wet. Do not connect a cable while the speaker or charging port is wet. Let the port dry completely first.
  2. Inspect the Type-C port. Check that it is clean and dry before connecting the cable.
  3. Test the cable. Use another known-good Type-C cable if the first cable does not produce a charging indication.
  4. Test the power source. Use a standard 5V/1A or 5V/2A USB power adapter, then try a different wall outlet.
  5. Give it time. Leave MG II connected for at least 30 minutes before checking again. The manual lists about three hours for a full charge, so a brief connection may not be enough to assess the result.

Common mistakes to avoid

  • Charging while wet: wait until the port is completely dry before connecting any cable.
  • Using a charger that only provides a higher fixed voltage: use the stated standard 5V USB input instead.
  • Testing only one cable or outlet: a known-good replacement cable and a different wall outlet help separate a power-accessory issue from the speaker.
  • Checking too quickly: leave the speaker connected for at least 30 minutes before deciding that no charging indication appears.
  • Trying undocumented reset methods: this guide does not recommend button combinations or opening the speaker, because they are not specified in the MG II manual.

When to contact support

Contact us if no charging indicator appears after you have checked that the port is clean and dry, tested a known-good Type-C cable, a standard 5V adapter and another wall outlet, and left MG II charging for at least 30 minutes.
