How should I charge MG II for the first time?

Fully charge MG II before first use. Use its Type-C charging port with a standard 5V/1A or 5V/2A USB power adapter, and make sure the charging port is clean and completely dry first.

Short answer

Before using MG II for the first time, fully charge it. The official MG II manual lists Type-C charging with a 5V/1A or 5V/2A input and states a charging time of about 3 hours. Only charge the speaker when its charging port is clean and completely dry.

Charge MG II before first use

  1. Place MG II in a dry location away from direct sun, fire and other overheating conditions.
  2. Check that the Type-C charging port is clean and completely dry. Do not charge the speaker while it is wet.
  3. Connect the Type-C charging cable to MG II and to a standard 5V/1A or 5V/2A USB power adapter.
  4. Allow time for a full charge before first use. The official manual lists a charging time of about 3 hours.

Common mistakes to check

  • Charging a wet speaker: dry the charging port completely before connecting any cable.
  • Using the wrong power requirement: use a standard 5V USB power adapter rated 1A or 2A, as listed for MG II.
  • No charging indication: try another known-good Type-C cable, 5V adapter and wall outlet. If no indicator appears, contact support.
  • MG II will not turn on: confirm the port is dry, then leave it charging for at least 30 minutes before trying again.

When to contact support

Contact us if MG II shows no charging indication after you have checked a known-good Type-C cable, 5V adapter and wall outlet. Include the model (MG II), your Amazon order number, the power equipment you tested and a clear photo or short video if it helps show the issue.
